Question: What price should my product be?
Whether your product be consumables, accessories, apparel, computers & more, there is always going to be a certain price range that is perfect for both the seller and the buyer.
Experiment With Your Prices
Experiment with your prices especially if you are just selling the product. Don’t price it too high or too little, you need to look for the “sweet spot” where you get both frequent buyers and make extraordinary profits. If your product is just going on sale and lets say you are selling a can of soda for $.50 and there are occasionally many buyers, add an extra $.10 or two. It’s all about finding the right price for both buyer and seller. Don’t mark up your products too high all of a sudden, mark up your prices by tiny margins like $0.10 & etc, it can make a huge difference.
Compare Prices
Compare prices with other marketers and make sure your not over pricing or under pricing your products. Check competitors frequently and make sure your selling the exact product.
Competition
If you think competition is whoever has the lowest price, you are wrong. One can price one lower than the other, however quality and effort makes up for the extra cents. If you were to sell a checkers board for $1.99 and someone else is selling the exact same thing for just $1.87, don’t automatically think you have to mark down your product. Remember quality is everything in marketing. You can either mark down your product or put effort to your product unlike your competitor. You can add a list of rules for checkers and provide quality information about your company to guarantee that their product will be the most satisfying. People would pay an extra few dollars for your extra input in your products. People want to be secure and want to be guaranteed quality products, thus would pay more to you instead of your competitor.
Techniques
Either your selling your product online or selling products in real life, you can always compare your prices to some other company’s prices to make them more eager to purchase your product. People want to feel like they are making a smart purchase. Showing your prices and another company’s prices can be a smart technique to increase your sales. Remember, people want to feel like they are making a smart buy.
