Originally it has come to show that dofollow sites with high number of Page Rank, show some sentimental value because of the high Page Rank and the search engine benefits It gives web owners. But, how do you really check wither a site is Dofollow or not? There are two simple solutions really.

Solution 1

  1. Simply go to the desired site that you want to check if it’s Dofollow or not
  2. Right click your mouse and scroll down until you see ‘View Page Source’ and click on it.
  3. Hold on to control, (Ctrl for windows users & the alternate key for Mac users) then simply press ‘F’ at the same time. Basically CTRL>>F.
  4. Now there should be a little search bar the shows up, usually located on the bottom lower left or on the top right and then just simply type, ‘Nofollow.’
  5. If there is a Nofollow located after the HTML code, rel=’Nofollow’ , chances are that it is Nofollow and is no use to people looking to rank higher in the Search Engines and Google Page Rank.
  6. If you typed Nofollow in the search bar, and it shows up red, chances are that you have successfully found a Dofollow site with the benefits of passing search engine benefits to your sites.
Solution 2

Solution 2 requires the user to use either Firefox or Internet Explorer, that means that this technique won’t work for Google Chrome browsers or any other browsing application.
  1. First step is to start up your Firefox or Internet Explorer browser
  2. Download the following application. (For Firefox Only)
  3. Or Download the SeoQuake. (For both Firefox or Internet Explorer)
  4. After you have finished installing the application, you will now see a new feature added to your right click shortkeys called the NoDofollow button.
  5. Whenever you are in the need to check if a site is Dofollow, simply right click the mouse and hit on NoDofollow and what ever is in blue is Dofollow. What ever is in red is Nofollow.
Well, there you have it. Two simple solutions to easily figure out if a page has a rel tag with Nofollow installed or not. If there are any other methods, don’t hesitate to suggest any new methods. I will follow it up with a future post under your name.
