DMOZ has thousands or maybe tens of thousands of categories that needs moderation from editorial volunteers. If you are applicable of understanding and following their editorial guidelines,  you can be part of the DMOZ team and become part of the world’s most profound free directory up to date.

It is as simple as that, submit your URL and forget about it or your submission to DMOZ. You probably hear this often, probably due to it taking a long period of time, generally ranging from 2 months to even 2 years to getting accepted.
