9 Great Alternatives to Google Adsense
11 views | July 29th, 2009Google Adsense is probably one of the world’s leading online markets that fundamentally dominate the PPC, Internet advertising, market. There could be many situations as to why you would want to have an alternative to Google’s Adsense program, even though it is praised for it’s top notch navigation and pay rate. It could because your site is in a niche that is low CPC. (Cost per Click) It could be that you want to just try other alternatives than just Google, whatever it may be, we have listed 9 great alternatives to Google that we recommend webmasters to try.
These are advertising programs that range in a variety of markets including: PPC, (Pay per Click) PCA, (Pay Per Action) PPS, (Pay per Sale) and CPM (Pay per Impression)
Chitika – (PPC) Chitika is a great alternative to Google Adsense. Although their banners may seem different from ads of Google, their ads seem to deliver.
Amazon Affiliate – (PPS) Amazon affiliate is one of the well known affiliates out there that pay for product sales. Generally you start with only 4% of the sales you make, however, the more sales you make, the higher the pay rate. (15%)
Yahoo Publishers – (PPC) Yahoo’s publishers program is also one of the leading PPC markets. I’ve heard that they pay well to publishers. Can be Google’s biggest contender in terms of pay per click.
Adsdaq – (CPM) Adsdaq is rather unique from the rest. The motto is, make more here or go back to our old publisher’s ads. You are the one in charge of how much advertisers have to pay. If there is no advertisers that can deliver with the prices you set, your back up ads, can be Google Adsense or whatever, will show up instead until there is an advertiser willing to pay. This is a great functionality to maximize your earnings.
ShareaSale – (All) ShareaSale is a great network where you can find plenty of affiliates off the bat with fully designed banners ready to make referrals. Has virtually all the markets, PPC, CPM, PCA, and PPS
Clickbank – (PPS) Clickbank is virtually the biggest PPS network that sells virtually anything that is digital, whether it be e-books, softwares, to web templates, they have them all.
Adbrite – (PPC) Adbrite has been known to be also one of the top contenders for PPC. People have mixed reviews on Adbrite. Some say it pays better than Google’s Adsense program, and some say otherwise. Your only choice is to try it out for your self.
Bidvertiser – (PPC) Bidvertiser is one of the tiny PPC programs that is directed to small web owners, simply because their minimum payout is really low. Ideally around $10 – $20. This is the only advantage that Bidvertiser has compared to other top PPC programs like Google Adsense and because of that, is growing a large community of publishers.
Kontera – (PPC) Kontera, or should I say in-text advertising, is known for it’s simplicity on adding Kontera to any given website. When you think of in-text advertising, you think of Kontera none the less. It is practically adaptable to any given website.

Good Blog!!! Thanks for sharing…
I like Google adsense ,its my best way to make money
Thanks for the information. I have tried bidvertiser but it pays me too less(maybe because my traffic are mostly asian). Which is another alternative for low traffic(200 visits per day in average)?
Good blog, just looking around some blogs, appears a pretty nice platform you’re using. I’m presently using WordPress for a few of my sites but looking to change one of them more than to a platform comparable to yours as a trial operate. Anything in particular you’d recommend about it?
Some very good sites here, however it should be pointed out that you’re not going to make a lot of money by simply writing a blog and then signing up to all these sites. You really have to do a lot of work getting back-links to your blog and doing a lot of search engine optimization (SEO) – without any visitors to your blog, you simply won’t earn any money!
One of the latest techniques is to have a circle of sites – have your money making blog at the center of a circle of other information sites that point to your main blog – sites like Knol, Squidoo, Hubpages, eZinearticles, eHow etc are all great sources for bringing traffic to your main blog.
Most people are not going to make a lot of money even with this extra work – but over time you can get a nice little residual income going – I know of several people earning about $1,000 a month; myself, after six months writing get about $50 a month! It’s hard work and it takes time, but it will payoff in the end!
Good luck!
Thanks for the info. Going to check them out.

I wanted to contact you and let you know about a new ad network http://www.prosperent.com. Unlike the other CPC networks that pay per click, we pay per action which results in far higher payouts in general. We also have technology in place which displays targeted products based on the users interests and how they arrived on the site. We’re seeing a lot of positive reviews. Check it out, it’s still in beta. If you like it, please include it on your list of adsense alternatives. The invite code is: VE0XOSZZSTFY1Z
It’s seem very nice list. But do you have any reference about the payment proof for the bidvertiser…?
Hi Albert,

That’s a great list and looks like you covered the big ones that people should be aware of. Have you used Adsdaq or had any experience with them? I’ve not heard of them before or seen any of their stuff in action (that I’m aware of).
Chitika seems to be only contextual service to only adsense alternatives. The rest seems to be only ads networks where there are tons of them around
Hello,
I have been with http://www.adclickmedia.com for over 4 months and in my opinion they are great to deal with and the earning are great. You should really add AdClickMedia to the list.
Thanks
