How I First Made Money on the Internet
For every person that thinks I made money automatically from day 1, you are completely wrong. When I first started out trying to figure out how to make money on the Internet, like everyone else, I was desperate to find new ways to make ends meet. Everyone has this impression that just by working on the Internet, anybody can make money almost instantly. They are dead wrong. To really make money on the Internet, the truth is there is no short cut. It takes hard effort and commitment to make it really work like any other career.
I will be writing about how I first made my few bucks over the Internet and my evolutionary process to making as much as I do now.
The first method I tackled
The first method I approached to making a few bucks on the side over the internet were paid surveys. The concept of making money by expressing your opinions for a reasonable amount of cash each time, sounded like a good solution for me at the time because I’ve always wanted to support my family at home. And because as you may know, it is pretty hard to find a reliable job in this economic crisis so I gave paid surveys a try.
There were two things I liked about taking paid surveys. It was easy and the payments were generally satisfying. However there was one problem with paid surveys, they were unpredictable and inconsistent when it comes to receiving new opportunities everyday. Although it is a good opportunity to make money if you get the opportunity to take a paid survey, relying on taking paid surveys for income everyday was simply impossible so I tried to find a better solution to make money that was consistent and worked for me. Today, I still find paid surveys to be a great way to be an additional income stream (the reason why I still promote paid surveys), however, it should never be taken as a serious source of income because one day you may get 10 paid surveys and the next 0. The general idea is to take paid surveys only to make money on the side.
The road to finding the right legitimate way to make money for me on the Internet wasn’t easy. There were numerous occasions where I find my self almost buying a product from a so-called guru who is making thousands everyday, deprived me of a lot of time and energy before I found a method that worked for me and for free too.
My only wish from this post is that you will be knowledgeable enough to keep away from products that will do you any good because chances are, the information is already distributed over the Internet and available for free.
Blogging to make money
After taking paid surveys for a spin and later learning that it wasn’t right for me, I thought about building my very own blog. In fact at first I started with a blogspot to get the general feel of managing a website and made a few friends and loyal readers. Overall the experience was fun but what made it even more fun for me at the time was learning the idea that I could be making money from Google ads. In response, I sent in an application to join Google Adsense’s publishers team and once I was accepted, I have never looked back and even went as far as taking money making to the next level. I bought my own domain name and web hosting and started my first risky investment of building my very own website where a community of readers can share tips on how to make money (mooladays.com). From that moment on, I have never looked back and have even implemented new methods of making the most money from blogging, affiliate marketing with a combination of Google Adsense.
Starting your very own blog and making it profitable and worthwhile takes hard work and commitment. I would know because I have experienced it first hand. Now that I look back, everything I’ve done until now was worth it, and I cannot emphasize more on how quality content is very important.
Although I cannot speak for every method on how to make money, my best advice I can ever give you is that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is and to keep in mind that there is NO shortcut to a rich luxurious life. Just have the right mind-set and think of creative ways to make your campaign work in any situation. There is really no secret. Just because one of your petty attempts to making money on the Internet failed once, doesn’t typically mean that the method doesn’t work. Think out side of the box; not everyone will have the same results nor the same ideas. The Internet marketers who make the most are the ones who are the most original. So if you ever find your self close to giving in and buying a product that says it is THE solution to your problems, just hold in your temptation and instead use that time to think of more creative ways to make your campaign work. On the Internet, hard work pays off only if you stick with it long enough to see the benefits.

Surveys can be fun but there is nothing like owning your own websites to make a living online.
I found it was the learning curve that was much steeper than I imagined. And you are right there are no shortcuts. Treat it like a job and the rewards can be fantastic. It certainly beats working for anyone else.
If you want to make money online then like you say there are no shortcuts. I believe it is possible to make an awful lot of money online with blogs and websites but you have to stick with it and put in as much work as possible. And remember, diversify. A year on and I now make a decent living but I know it can increase to amazing levels of income.
Keep making new sites and you will find a few will make good money while others simply will not come to fruition. This is why many people give up, they do not try hard enough or stick to only one idea.
Anyway, just thought I would say hi, been following for a while.

I’ve been at this game for a while now and hard work has nothing to do with it – hard work is not the panacea to success on the internet nor is it anywhere else – it’s having the right knowledge at the right time from the right people. The internet is still it’s the “wild, wild west stage” – lots of opportunity and lots of downsides. How do I know? Because I have known people get on the interent and make a fortune on their first try. Most others fail and give up – I think the stats are 90% of the people give up after six months. Making it all work takes a lot of technical skills or just plain luck along with some work and, mostly importantly, getting to know the right gurus right from the start – that’s the trickiest part of all. I’m glad you have found great success on the internet and I wish you continued success!

Knowledge with the combination of hard work of course would lead to great fortune, however, for the most part, the people who are beginning their very first website don’t have that knowledge to succeed.
That is why it takes hard work and dedication to learn the material and really succeed on the web. I wouldn’t say it is all luck. We all have to start somewhere and learning is only part of the work.
I agree – luck has not much to do with making money online. Of course it help a lot if you meet right people who can help you, but mostly It is dedication of your time and constant learning.

Paid surveys are a great way to make a bit of money on the side as you adjust your self to learn the better methods of making money online.
It is sad that the majority of online survey panels are scams (about 88.9%), however, if you did your research and stick with a legitimate survey company (like the ones we recommend) you can be definite that you will be paid for your work.
I have ‘tried’ to make money on the web for years. Early on I started with Survey sites and made a little money doing that; I then went onto sites like Ciao.com and Epinions.com which allowed you to write consumer reviews and make a little money that way – I was quite successful.
I slowed down for a while finding the effort required to make a few bucks too much! With the popularity of blogs though, I came back and tried making some money on Blogspot. Unfortunately , my SEO and marketing skills are poor and this was not successful!
I finally, though, found the way that worked for me – using sites like Squidoo and Hubpages I am able to produce some decent ‘content’ sites and make some money on Adsense, Amazon and other affiliate programs – it’s not a huge amount and it still requires a lot of work, but there is potential, and the residual income is slowly building over time!
