Awesome dude, I am in the process of getting a paypal credit card also. The money I make online is deposited solely into my paypal account and every time I want to use it I have to transfer it to my checking account, which takes at least 3 days to clear. WTF. I did not know about the added security they had though, the 4 digit pin #, or the spending tracking thing or the incentive reward system. Im glad I found your blog, Ill be signing up for my card ASAP.

I love my PayPal debit card because I get paid through PayPal twice a week, so I always have instant access to my money. It is a MasterCard, and although you can use it like a credit card, it isn’t a credit card. It is a debit card. Credit cards let you go into debt and charge insane interest rates on the money that you owe them; whereas, debit cards allow you make ATM withdrawals or make swipe or online purchases using the money that you actually have in your PayPal account. (I just make this distinction because I kept seeing it being referred to as a credit card instead of a debit card.)

And just like the debit card you may have through your bank, you can either swipe your PayPal card as credit or debit. Credit meaning you’ll need to sign the receipt or the screen, and debit meaning you’ll need to enter your PIN. PayPal does let you choose your own PIN, which is nice.

There are cashback rewards. I earned 15 cents from some purchase I made somewhere along the way.

Very cool. I’m thrilled with my PayPal debit card. I’m sure you will be too.

Thanks for making the distinction Victoria, I am already seeing the great benefits of using the Paypal debit card. :)

    Hi Albert,

I just wanted to ask if you could add a Twitter link in your emails that you send. This way I can easily tweet your latest post directly from my email. If it’s easy to do, I’d appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    Victoria

I’d be sure to turn on the socializing feature for FeedBurner. I was never aware that a large social bookmarking site like Twitter wasn’t enabled.

Thanks for catching my mistakes, twice! I would have never known.

Oh gosh, I wasn’t pointing out a mistake. I didn’t even see it as a mistake. I just noticed that Facebook, Delicious, Digg, and a few others were there, but no Twitter. And I like to tweet articles that I like, so that’s the reason I was asking.

  • http://www.mooladays.com Albert

I have just added Twitter and the # of comments feature.

Thanks for pointing these out. I don’t think anyone else would have notified me.

    You are simply awesome. :)

    Why, thank you.

I look forward to tweeting your posts I get in my email from now on.

Very cool. This is the first I’ve heard of the debit card and right away I had to pass the info along to my husband who is a seller. Maybe I’ll get taken to dinner on the Paypay MC.

    Well done!

Wow! I was bragging about getting 15 cents back in cashback rewards, but today I opened my email and I got $1.06 back in cashback rewards on my PayPal card. That certainly beats getting charged interest. It reminds me of an interest-earning checking or savings account like I have with ING Direct. With online banking and PayPal, there’s certainly no reason to ever go back to the days of rip-off bricks and mortar banks and credit cards charging outrageous fees.

That is absolutely awesome to hear. For Ebay merchants who are not aware of this awesome opportunity, they are truly missing out.

Paypal simply has done online merchants a great service.
