Bank of America, one of the most prominent bank in the banking industry is inviting you to invite your friends to open up a free checking account so you both can enjoy the benefits of opening up a savings or checking account with Bank of America, along with a free reward.
Be wary that in order to take advantage of this offer as the recruiter (person telling friends), you must already be a current customer of Bank of America. How it works is that you must print out the Bank of America Referral form and fill it out with your information and then hand it to the person you are referring, and then that person has to open up a checking account with a minimum of at least $125. From this, you both receive $25. The person you refer can be anyone. Your friend, your relative, siblings, family, whoever as long as the person you are referring brings that form to a local Bank of America building and shows the form. If you are referring someone like a sibling or someone in your family, you can reap both the rewards for the possibility of earning up to $75 in total. That was what I have done.
There are also additional bonuses. If the person you are referring opens up a savings account and inserts at least $1,000, they get an additional $10-$25 – in addition to the $25 they may receive if they open up a checking account with at least $125. Be aware that you won’t get your reward for at least 90 days and the deadline is at March 31, 2011.
Some personal tips from me

When taking advantage of this offer, realize that you are getting rewarded for opening up a checking or savings account. Once you have established these accounts, you are then able to withdraw the money necessary to receive the promotional offer and do whatever you please with it – transfer it to a different bank, withdraw it, whatever you please. Just realize that you are not obligated to keeping your money in the accounts after you have taken advantage of this offer.
For parents, this may be the opportunity you have been looking for to motivate you to open up a savings or checking account for your kids. Where as for regular students, it may be the time to invite your friends to open up a savings or a checking account if they haven’t, knowing that colleges brings many financial issues.
